Daytona Beach PD Cruiser Set Fire, Threatening Note Left Behind

A Daytona Beach police car was set on fire early Sunday morning and a threatening note was left behind.

Officers were called to the 300 block of Keech Street around 2:30 a.m. for reports of a vehicle fire.

No one was injured in the fire, but Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood said it will cost about $30,000 to replace the cruiser, and that money could have been used elsewhere.

"The idiot that did this really took money out of a community that really needs it," said Chitwood.

Chitwood said someone threw a Molotov cocktail and ignited the Daytona Beach police cruiser.

A note apparently left by the culprit was found nearby.



The note referenced the recent officer-involved shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile and hurled an obscenity at police officers, investigators said.

Investigators said the vehicle had been left at the location as a “ghost car.”

The imam of the Islamic Center asked the chief if they could put a ghost car on the corner after a threat was made against the center, shortly after the Pulse shooting.

911 caller: “There's a police car that's been parked at the mosque for some time, and somebody just set it on fire.”

Dispatcher: “Somebody set a police car on fire?“

Caller: “Yep.”

Police said it appeared to be a case of arson.

Chitwood said it is not the first time a cruiser has been vandalized.

“But in today's climate, the scary thing of it all is, there are a group of extremists, and for a lack of a better term, domestic terrorists, who are driving the agenda right now," said Chitwood.

Chitwood said since Monday morning, he has received numerous calls from the governor and neighborhood groups, as well as the NAACP.

"All supporting the police and denouncing what has gone on. The problem for us is, how do you stop extremism?" Chitwood said.

Residents said they were shocked by the incident and glad no one was hurt.

"I know black lives matter, but all lives matter, and you shouldn't go around destroying things," said resident Carrigan Holloman.

"They do a lot for us the police department. So I didn't like it, and I am not happy about it," said resident Johnnie Ponder.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office will be handling the investigation.

Authorities are searching for the culprit, and are asking anyone with information to contact the Daytona Beach Police Department at 386-671-5100.

Police investigating restaurant that served glass in an officer’s sandwich

When a police officer bit into a sandwich at a restaurant on Monday he found shards of glass
His mouth was bleeding and he had to be hospitalized.

It is unclear if the incident was on purpose or accidental, but the restaurant has been temporarily shut down

The police officer bit into a sandwich Monday and encountered a crunching sound and a “grisly texture.”

When he looked inside the sandwich, he saw shards of glass. Then he discovered his mouth was bleeding.

The unidentified officer had to be hospitalized after the incident Monday, according to ABC 6. It happened at a restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, though investigators are not naming the establishment.

Detectives have not determined if the glass was placed there accidentally or on purpose, but the restaurant was shut down to conduct interviews.

There have been several incidents of violence against police officers nationwide recently. Five officers were killed in Dallas on July 7 and three were killed in Baton Rouge last weekend. There have been numerous other incidents of attempted violence.

The extent of the Columbus officer’s injuries were unknown.

Columbus Public Health officials will be at the restaurant Tuesday to investigate possible violations.

Kansas City, Kansas Police Captain Killed When Suspects Opened Fire On Him Following Chase

A Kansas City, Kan., police captain was shot and killed Tuesday while responding to a call about armed suspects fleeing from police.

Cpt. Dave Melton, 46, had been on the KCK Police force for nearly 17 years. He was promoted to captain in May 2015. Before Kansas City, Kan., he worked for the Wyandotte County Sheriff's office. He was also a member of the Kansas National Guard.

At 2:02 p.m., Terry Zeigler, Kansas City, Kan., police chief chief, tweeted that an officer had been shot and encouraged people to "start prayers."

Zeigler says it began with a drive-by shooting on First Street. When officers responded, the suspects fled in a vehicle to 22nd and Haskell.

"As Cpt. Melton was arriving, the suspects bailed from the vehicle and opened fire, striking Cpt. Melton and fatally wounding him," Zeigler said.

Two of the suspects have been arrested. Police say they are looking for a third suspect and possibly a fourth.

At an earlier news conference, FOX 4's Katie Banks asked Tom Tomasic, police spokesman, whether the officer was alone or with a partner. Many police departments around the nation decided officers should always be in pairs following the ambushes in Dallas and Baton Rouge.

"He was alone at the time. I don't want to go into details why. We don't know the situation yet. People need to be notified before I start giving out any details on that," Tomasic said.

"We just want to ask for the thoughts and prayers for Cpt. Melton's family and for our entire police department right now and for our community," said Mayor Mark Holland. "There's a lot of pain and brokenness in our community and in our nation right now and we just want to ask everyone to be prayerful and thoughtful right now."

When asked if police believe the shooting of this officer is related to prior attacks on officers, Tomasic said it was too early to know.

"There's no way to know at this time. As far as we know this started out as a crime that we were investigating, so to just say that he was shot for no reason, we don't know that yet. We do believe that he was investigating a crime so he was out here doing his service," Tomasic said.

Police reported one suspect was in custody, and they are currently searching for another.

Melton's death makes the second instance of a Kansas City, Kan. officer shot and killed in the line of duty since the May 9 shooting of Det. Brad Lancaster.

"It definitely makes it worse, you've got the feelings of two months ago coming up with the brand new ones," Tomasic said.

"It's hard. It's very hard right now, especially when it's someone that you, it's someone very close and you know them very well. Good friend, good person, knew him well, worked with him everyday," Tomasic said.

Tuesday afternoon, ATF officers were on scene at 2nd and Edgerton, where the initial disturbance was reported.

A separate black nation in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina, which would sever Florida from the rest of the nation, might sound crazy or at least complicated. On the other hand, according to Christian Davenport, professor of political science at the University of Michigan, it’s simple and sensible.
“Actually, I think that it is fairly easily for African-Americans to form a Black nation within the United States,” professor Davenport told David Love of the Atlanta Black Star. “There are large sections of the United States that have nothing but Black people in them already. There are cults and militias as well as private corporations that do whatever they want behind their closed doors.”
Davenport, author of How Social Movements Die: Repression and Demobilization of the Republic of New Africa, explained that “from my time in New York in Chicago, it is clear that organizations like the Nation of Islam occupy decent size areas in American cities. The idea of Black folk coming together thus does not seem that difficult to me.”
For the professor, also a faculty associate at the UM’s Center for Political Studies, “The Republic of New Africa actually had several innovative ways to seek territorial control. One involved something akin to electoral empowerment whereby Blacks would get individuals elected who would, in turn, deputize and otherwise bring in members of the RNA to govern. Another involved something akin to stepping into situations of state failure. Here, the RNA would find locales where the U.S. government has basically stepped out and/or can no longer maintain control. The RNA had the idea of stepping into this vacuum. Now, the difficult part becomes arming that nation in an organized fashion and getting recognition from the United States as well as other nations. This is where the difficulty will come from.”
So maybe the separate black nation is not so simple after all. “The minute you go aggressive and militaristic, you cannot wind the clock back,” the professor told the Atlanta Black Star. “Nation-building is incredibly hard to do and it involves diverse tasks.”
In the same article, Gen. Babu Omowale, national minister of defense for the People’s New Black Panther Party and co-founder of the Huey P. Newton Gun Club, explained that since the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, “we’ve been constantly attacked by white society and white supremacy. We’ve never been left alone, so I think it is important for Black people to arm ourselves.”
In the Daily Caller, Eric Owens explored links between Dallas murderer Micah X. Johnson, the Huey P. Newton Gun Club, and black liberation militias.



Victoria Bynum, emeritus professor of history at Texas State University, is the author of The Free State of Jones: Mississippi’s Longest Civil War, which inspired the current Free State of Jones movie. Bynum told the Star: “Clearly, the roots of Black nationalism and separatism are present in the violently white supremacist counter-revolution that destroyed the promise of Reconstruction. Racial segregation, second-class citizenship, a renewed KKK opened the 20th century, setting in motion Black responses that frequently viewed independence and separatism as the only recourse.”
Contrary to Bynum, Davenport, Omowale and other radicals, the roots of a separate, segregated black state go back to the Communist Party USA, a Soviet-controlled party with an overwhelmingly white leadership. CPUSA doctrine held that blacks were not real Americans, and as Paul D’Amato noted in the International Socialist Review, “In 1928, the Comintern declared that Blacks in the U.S. constituted a nation, and they called for ‘self-determination in the Black Belt.’ The Black Belt was a swath of territory cutting through the South known for its rich, dark soil, in which rural Blacks at that time were concentrated in large numbers.”
Likewise, in “Communism’s African-American Soviet Republic,” Paul Kengor charted how in 1930 the Communist International called for creation of a Soviet-directed and controlled “Negro Republic” among America’s Southern states. Professor Kengor also found that the current Revolutionary Communist Party calls for black Americans to unite into a separate, autonomous republic in the American South, “the southern part of the former imperialist United States of America.” The decision would be made by “a special vote in which only African-Americans would be eligible to participate.”
“Whether CPUSA or the Revolutionary Communist Party, they never go away,” Kengor wrote. “They merely lie in wait to exploit the next crisis, whether in the Jim Crow South or in the efforts of Barack Obama and the Wall Street mob to demonize ‘millionaires and billionaires.’”
Professor Kengor, author of The Communist, also observed that CPUSA organizer Frank Marshall Davis, “would advise a Hawaiian adolescent named Barack Obama.” In the home stretch of his presidency, black belt apartheid is sure to mount a surge.

Pipe Bomb Explodes On Police Vehicle In Maryland

A pipe bomb exploded on a police vehicle in suburban Maryland early Wednesday, the police said.

The vehicle was parked on the street outside an officer's house in Thurmont, Maryland, Police Chief Greg Eyler told CBS Washington, D.C., affiliate WUSA-TV.

At around 12:30 a.m., the officer heard an explosion, Eyler told WUSA-TV. He and his wife went outside, and they found the remains of a pipe bomb beside his vehicle.

Eyler said it looked like someone placed the pipe bomb on the hood of the vehicle against the windshield. The main damage to the vehicle was to the windshield, and the bomb also blew out at least one side window.

The explosion sent shrapnel into a nearby house, sources told CBS News homeland security correspondent Jeff Pegues.

No one was injured, Eyler said.

A source told CBS News the bomb was "legit."

The bomb fragments were being analyzed at a lab for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Pegues reports.

No one was under arrest and the motive was unclear.

Investigators were not ruling anything out because of recent incidents where police officers have been targeted, Pegues reports.




ATF Helps Investigate Pipe Bomb-Like Explosion That Damaged Thurmont Police SUV

August 3, 2016

A metal pipe bomb-like device was set off and damaged a Thurmont police vehicle early Wednesday, according to the department.

Residents began calling 911 at about 12:30 a.m. near Clark Avenue after hearing what sounded like an explosion, according to a news release from the police department. A woman noticed that a Thurmont police vehicle parked nearby was damaged and alerted authorities, who found that an explosive device of some kind had been detonated, said Thurmont Police Chief Greg Eyler.

"One of my officers went to his residence and parked his cruiser on the street as he usually does at about midnight and then around 12:30, one of the neighbors heard a big explosion. ... It looked like a metal pipe bomb was detonated on the hood and the windshield of the cruiser," Eyler said.

No one was hurt by the explosion. Thurmont police were receiving assistance from the Frederick County Fire Marshal's Office, the county sheriff's office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Eyler said.

Remnants of the explosive device were recovered from the SUV, a marked Chevrolet Tahoe, and authorities were trying to determine the components of the device, Eyler said.

"We'll be checking numerous hardware stores to maybe see where the metal pipe was purchased from. ... We're just trying to get everything together," Eyler said. "It's still a very preliminary investigation at this point."

Multiple ATF agents, including an explosives enforcement officer, a certified explosives specialist and a special agent K-9 handler, responded early Wednesday, said David Cheplak, a public information officer for the ATF's Baltimore field office.

"We're going to provide all the resources that we have. Speaking in generalities, we have our national laboratory relatively close by in Beltsville, Maryland," Cheplak said. "So we'll be able to take any evidence that may be available and put that in the hands of our experts that work these types of incidents."

Eyler confirmed that evidence collected from the scene was being taken to the ATF laboratory in Beltsville for further analysis.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area or who can help police with the investigation was asked to call the Thurmont Police Department at 301-271-0905.

Police: Milwaukee Officer Fatally Shoots Man Who Had Gun

Police say a Milwaukee officer has shot and killed an armed man during a foot chase.

Capt. Mark Stanmeyer says officers stopped a car with two people inside Saturday. He says the pair got out of the car and ran and that the officers chased them.

He says a 23-year-old man who was one of the people fleeing was armed with a handgun and was shot by an officer during the pursuit. The man's name wasn't immediately released. Stanmeyer says the man died at the scene.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that more than 100 people gathered near the scene Saturday night and some in the crowd started smashing a squad car's windows.

The 24-year-old officer who shot the man has been placed on administrative duty.

Race agitators in Milwaukee used the police shooting of an unarmed armed black man to burn down their city and attack white people.
Several videos show white drivers being stopped in the middle of the street and the “protesters” attempting to pull them out of their vehicles.

“They’re beating every white person!” one of the agitators shouted in the video. “They jumpin’ every white person.”

When the mob spotted a white driver, they attempted to block his car from passing.
“He white! Beat his sh*t!” the man yelled.

Milwaukee police say “the victim, 23, was armed with a handgun and shot dead by an officer after fleeing a traffic stop on Milwaukee’s north side Saturday afternoon,” NBC News reports.

The man allegedly had a “lengthy arrest record” and was carrying a semiautomatic handgun that was reported stolen in a burglary in nearby Waukesha earlier this year.

MILWAUKEE – The Latest on violence in Milwaukee following the shooting of a man by police (all times local):

9:15 a.m.

The owner of a gas station has blamed outsiders for the violence that destroyed his business on Milwaukee's north side Saturday night following a police-involved shooting.

Pakhar Singh's BP station was set afire as protesters skirmished with police, and firefighters could not approach it because of gunshots.

Singh said Sunday that the neighborhood is usually peaceful, and he believes the trouble was caused by outsiders. He says he's owned stations in the area for 36 years and has never had trouble. He isn't sure he'll rebuild.

The unrest broke out hours after an officer shot a man who police say fled a traffic stop. Police say the man was armed, but it wasn't clear if he pointed a gun at or shot at the officer. The races of the man and officer haven't been released.

Community volunteers have turned out to clean up after violent protests ransacked a north Milwaukee neighborhood following a police shooting.

Two to three dozen people are sweeping and picking up debris Sunday morning around a BP gas station that was burned and largely destroyed near the intersection at the center of the violence Saturday night.

Darlene Rose, who is 31, says she understands the anger that sparked the protests but that violence won't solve anything.

The unrest broke out hours after an officer shot a man who police say fled a traffic stop. Police say the man was armed, but it wasn't clear if he pointed a gun at or shot at the officer. The races of the man and officer haven't been released.

Simmering anger over the fatal shooting of a man by police erupted in violence on Milwaukee's predominantly black north side, with protesters skirmishing with officers over several hours and setting fire to at least four businesses in an outburst the mayor says was fed by social media.

The uprising that broke out Saturday evening didn't subside until after midnight, after city leaders called for calm. Police sat three people were arrested, and one officer was hurt by a brick thrown into a squad car.

The triggering event came Saturday afternoon, when a man fleeing police after a traffic stop was shot and killed. Police said the man was armed. Authorities say the man was shot in the chest and arm.

Neither his race nor the officer's was immediately released, nor were they identified.

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke has requested the mobilization of the National Guard in the wake of violence that erupted in the City of Milwaukee late Saturday, August 13th and early Sunday, August 14th.

Clarke made the request after consulting with Gov. Scott Walker and Major Gen. Donald Dunbar of the Wisconsin National Guard.

Clarke said the following in a statement as part of a news release:

“We cannot allow for a repeat of what happened (Saturday) night. I am going to utilize all available resources to accomplish that.”

On Saturday night, violence erupted in the wake of an officer-involved shooting that happened near 44th and Auer on Saturday afternoon.

Protesters burned several stores, including the BP gas station at Sherman and Burleigh, Jet Beauty at 35th and Fond du Lac, BMO Harris Bank at 36th and Fond du Lac, O’Reilly Auto Parts at Fond du Lac and Burleigh and MJM Liquor at Fond du Lac and North — and threw rocks at police on the city’s north side, leaving one officer injured and three protesters arrested. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said protesters had been using social media to draw more demonstrators.

It all started Saturday afternoon, when a pair of police officers stopped two people driving through the north-side neighborhood, police said. That led to a foot chase between the people in the car and police, which ended when an officer shot one of the two — a 23-year-old man who was armed with a handgun, authorities said.

The police officer “ordered that individual to drop his gun, the individual did not drop his gun,” Barrett said during a news conference later in the day. “He had the gun with him and the officer fired several times.”

The man died at the scene. It was unclear Sunday morning whether the second occupant of the car was in police custody. The officer who fired the fatal shots was not injured and will be placed on administrative duty during an investigation.

The unidentified suspect was shot twice, in the arm and chest, the mayor said. The handgun he carried had been stolen during a burglary in nearby Waukesha in March, according to police.

“The victim of that burglary reported 500 rounds of ammunition were also stolen with the handgun,” police said.

The officer who fired the deadly shots is 24 years old and has six years of service with the Milwaukee Police Department — three as an officer. Police provided no further details on the identities of the officer or the occupants of the car.

The officer was wearing a body camera at the time of the shooting, Barrett said. Any evidence from the body camera video will likely become a key part of the investigation, said CNN law enforcement analyst Cedric Alexander.

“We’re going to see over the next number of hours and the next number of days what information [investigators] feel comfortable releasing to the public, Alexander said. “It think it’s going to be essentially important to get out as much of that video, as long as it doesn’t jeopardize the integrity of the investigation.”

“This is a neighborhood that has unfortunately been affected by violence in the recent past,” Barrett said. The shooting occurred near the same place where a double homicide happened on August 9. In that incident a man was shot dead and another was fatally stabbed, police said.

City Alderman Khalif Rainey said the area has been a “powder keg” for potential violence throughout the summer.

“What happened tonight may not have been right and I am not justifying that but no one can deny the fact that there are problems, racial problems in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that need to be rectified,” Rainey said. “This community of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has become the worst place to live for African Americans in the entire country.”

Rainey said Saturday’s violence was a byproduct of inequities, injustice, unemployment and under-education.

“Something has to be done to address these issues,” he said. “The black people of Milwaukee are tired, they are tired of living under this oppression, this is their life.”

Local officials planned to meet with church and community leaders Sunday to discuss ways to move forward.

The armed black man shot in Milwaukee yesterday after fleeing police officers was probably Blood gangbanger of some kind.

Ja’Kari Rocaine, who went to school in Milwaukee before moving to Detroit, says his cousin was the man shot and killed.
He refers to him as a “Blood,” and uses hashtags referencing the “Trill Vill Gang.” The dead man named “Syville/Savill Smith” is pictured with a rifle.
A reverse image search shows the picture exists nowhere else on the web, indicating it is original.

Rocaine, presumably the dead criminal’s gangbanger brother, is calling for “cups” and “gallons” of blood from police officers.

He uses the word “pig,” a deragatory slur for police officers.
The address Rocaine uses is the same one confirmed by local news sources: near North 44th and Auer on the North Side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Police have not confirmed the dead man’s name yet, but if it is Syville/Savill Smith, it is yet another #BlackLivesMatter “martyr” who is actually a known gangbanger, just like Philando Castile and Alton Sterling, as GotNews proved.
The police have confirmed that the dead man has a long criminal record and died with a stolen gun. Gangbanger? Most likely.

70-Person Fight, Officer Assaulted At Sweet Corn Festival

Six kids have been arrested after a large fight involving nearly 70 of them.

Cell phone video from a neighbor shows crowds of youth flooding a front yard and driveway, the fight spilling over from the St. Jude Sweet Corn Festival in Cedar Rapids.

Neighbors say they have never seen a fight at the festival so large, the brawl even leading to the festival being shut down about an hour and a half early on Saturday night.

"They were just yelling and screaming at each other and then when the police would try to you know calm them down and everything then they just started yelling and screaming at the police," says Tina Coate, a neighbor to the St. Jude Sweet Corn Festival.

Police say one officer was punched in the face by a 16-year-old and then kicked while on the ground.

Coate says there was no respect toward the law enforcement working to stop the fight.

"To see the kids talking to police like that, it just, it was very, it was very scary," she told us.

"I don't understand the thought process, that you know these young people have today and again to violently attack a police officer in the manner that they did and also resist arrest and resist authority, greatly concerns me and disturbs me," says Cedar Rapids Police Chief Wayne Jerman.

The festival cleanup process is underway after re-opening for a successful Sunday.

The money raised form the St. Jude Sweet Corn Festival mostly goes right back to St. Jude Catholic Church.

The Chair of the festival tells KWWL that overall numbers were a little down from years past but that is not how they are gauging the success of the event, they plan to focus on the positives.

Black Lives Matter Plans To “Shut Down Graceland” During Elvis Week

Black Lives Matter — in coordination with several other Memphis-based activist groups — has announced plans to “shut down Graceland” Monday evening.
According to Fox, movement leaders chose Graceland, Elvis Presley’s historic home in Memphis, TV, because “it demonstrates one of Memphis’s most common forms of financial inequality and because the site has ties to the death of unarmed teen Darrius Stewart.”
The protests are set to start at 6:00 pm, during the opening festivities for “Elvis Week.”

It's a stark image that caught some in Houston's Third Ward off guard: Confederate battle flags waving outside of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's Office.

Roughly 20 people showed up on Sunday, some with the red flag and assault rifles, others holding up a "White Lives Matter" banner, in a protest against the NAACP, according to local media reports.

"We came here because the NAACP headquarters is here and that's one of the most racist groups in America," Scott Lacy, a White Lives Matter member, told KPRC-TV.

The prime examples they cited were the NAACP's response to Black Lives Matter protests, protester Ken Reed told the Houston Chronicle. He said Black Lives Matter and other organizations have resulted in the "attack and killing of police officers, the burning down of cities and things of that nature."

White Lives Matter has formed as a directed response to the Black Lives Matter movement, a civil rights campaign stemming from 2012 that advocates against anti-black racism and is known for its involvement in protests against police killings of black men across the country. Some counter-protesters, using the phrase "White Lives Matter," argue that the Black Lives Matter movement is anti-white, which is inaccurate.

The demonstration caught the attention of residents, but it was the display of the Confederate flags and firearms that stood out. Eventually, a group of black residents congregated across the street. An African-American man walked up to the barricade and began asking the White Lives Matters crowd questions, the Chronicle reported.

"But you understand more white people are well fed than anybody else," he asked the crowd.

A White Lives Matter member seemed to agree. He responded, "Statistically," before being led away by Reed. "They're trying to ruin it," Reed told him.

By the time police tried to disperse the White Lives Matter supporters, Third Ward residents were pushing back against the protest, citing recent officer-involved shootings that have left African Americans dead.

Once the others dispersed, a group of African-American and white locals gathered in the parking lot of a church nearby. They prayed.

Horrifying Moment Mob Of 40 People Attack A California Highway Patrol Cruiser With A White Officer Inside After He Tried To Shut Down An Illegal Sideshow

Footage has emerged of a mob attacking a California Highway Patrol cruiser while the officer was trying to shut down an illegal sideshow at the weekend.

The incident occurred at the intersection of North and Orange Avenues in Southwest Fresno on Sunday afternoon around 3.40pm.

Police say a group of about 40 people blocked traffic by putting on a sideshow that involved reckless driving and cars doing burnouts.

When the officers tried to break it up, the crowd violently turned on them and targeted the vehicle, with one heard shouting: 'F*** the police, n****. We run the streets, motherf*****.'

Video taken at the scene quickly spread on social media following the attack.

It shows at least two men kicking the vehicle, which had one officer inside, while others yelled and chanted.

Fresno Police Lt. Mindy Casto said the sideshow had blocked off the road and the cruiser was trying to clear it up and move the gathering along.

'The vehicles parked all around the intersection and traffic backed up,' she told CBS 47. Lt. Casto said the hardest strike to the car was at the driver's window.

'A very hard strike, and had that glass broken, it probably would have shattered on the officer,' Lt. Casto said.

'So we can only speculate what kind of damage may have happened.'

A video of what was happening at the intersection as police arrived -posted by KRON 4 reporter Stanley Roberts - shows a group of cars revving their engines and then racing off.

The officer, who has not been named, is seen outside his vehicle speaking to some of the men, before getting back inside the cruiser.

As he does, the mob starts yelling. One man says: 'Kick the car.'

The group caused up to $12,000 worth of damage within a few seconds, destroying several windows, police said.

Officials say they've identified some suspects but no arrests have been made.

The officer was able to drive away and was not injured. Police have not released details on why they think the attack occurred.

'I cant really speculate what the crowds intent was, but what they did do absolutely was attack a vehicle with an officer inside of it,' Lt. Casto said.

The suspects could face several felony charges, including assault and vandalism.
