Russian Carrier To Train Near Greece
Greek defense officials say the Russian navy will use Athens-controlled airspace for training missions this month.

Greece's National Defense General Staff says the Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov will carry out the Jan. 3-11 training missions in international waters and airspace south of the Greek islands of Rhodes and Crete.

Greek officials said Friday that Greece's military would have no involvement in the training, but that the Russian Navy would be using airspace controlled by Athens air traffic controllers.
