Agreed. Especially if they are going to be making the "seasons" as short as they are talking about.

What the hell?
Are they gonna mount a rescue for the Korean guy?
Yeah, I watched 2 episodes the other night.
Gotta agree with Mal in that they need to push the pace a bit.
Hey Mal. Whad'ya say we go in on writing an episode. Get our foot in the door.
I agree as well, for the most part. The pacing has bothered me from the beginning. Mal makes a good point. Why slow down things that don't need to be, it comes off as a lame attempt to build suspense. However, the scene with the older guy talking about time right before the attack was cinema quality pacing. I give the networks serious props for taking a chance on this though. Cable just keeps getting better!
Don't know where the phrase came from, but every time I saw a headshot on that show, I silently yelled, "BOOM HEADSHOT!!"
Came from a guy that goes by FPS Doug. Videos at the link...

Thanks, Ryan.
I got 707. I could probably improve that if I were more patient. heh.

I'm really bummed out because I recently switched to direct tv and AMC is not in hd. It was on my old cable and I can't believe its not on satellite. The biggest reason I made the switch, besides the cost, was the sheer enormity of the amount on hd channels on dish. Hopefully gets switched over to hd soon.
Damn, that sucks catfish. You tried calling them to see if they have plans to add it?
The trailer for Season 2 just debuted at Comic-Con.
YouTube: The Walking Dead - Season 2 Trailer
The new season starts October 16!
Thanks - I was wondering about that the other day, but I couldn't remember the title.
Wow, that trailer was intense! I loved the opening scene with the guy running with the shotgun, that looked pretty cool. No Michael Rooker though, I wonder if his character will be back again after his rooftop escape.
The amc website has three videos. The above and the wtf one from a sneak preview as well as a video showing the ways to kill walkers.

On the above page, look to the right and below the main video screen for other videos.
best comment, or at least funniest below the video is this:
mikey
this video just gave me the biggest and hardest boner ever !
By the way, checking IMDB, it looks like The Walking Dead will follow the same formula as Breaking Bad in terms of number of episodes. Both had a half first season and then went to 13 episodes in their second season. So more zombie killin' goodness than last time!
Frank Darabont Leaves The Walking Dead
Though "The Walking Dead " will be returning to AMC on October 16th for a second season, Deadline reports that Frank Darabont will be stepping down as the series showrunner.
Darabont, who made the transition from films like The Shawshank Redemption and The Mist to the small screen with the ongoing adaptation of the Robert Kirkman zombie comic, is said to potentially be staying aboard the series in some capacity, though an official announcement has yet to be made. There is also no official reason yet for his departure from the show, though it is highly likely that a return to the big screen may be in Darabont's future.
The second season of "The Walking Dead" is currently in production and will feature a cast that includes Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, Norman Reedus, Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Michael Rooker and Pruitt Taylor Vince.
