SHOOTING AT FORT BLISS Army Base. Again!

A shooting at Fort Bliss Army base in Texas forcing the area into lockdown Monday afternoon, U.S. Army officials confirmed to Fox News.
Officials said shots were fired inside Shopette, a convenience store on the base. Officials are sealing off the area and closing the gates at Fort Bliss.
Details about the identity of the shooter or about possible casualties are still unclear. Will update when received.

FOX NEWS The victims were taken to nearby William Beaumont Army Medical Center, said post spokesman Dieter Jester. Hospital officials declined to comment on the victims’ conditions, referring questions to the FBI. An FBI spokesman said the agency wasn’t releasing any details.
The victims were employees at the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, El Paso Mayor John Cook told the El Paso Times. The service runs merchandise operations for the military, including fast-food restaurants and convenience stores, according to the service’s website.

The Fort Bliss is taking the first Panzer Division in the U.S. Army.
According to investigators, responsible for the shooting was a man who began shooting at two men in the shop. Law Enforcement responded and killed the person believed to be the shooter. Guards told the 60-year-old man to get their weapons. Police officers, killing the alleged gunman replied within 3:57 minutes, because their offices are very close to the bottom the shopping area. The base is home of the first armored div. President Obama visited last month to meet troops and marks the end of official combat in Iraq.

MSNBC EL PASO, Texas — The Fort Bliss commander says two people were shot at a small grocery store before the gunman was killed on the West Texas Army post.
A 60-year-old civilian was shot and killed by security guards, Army officials told NBC News.
According to the officials, after shooting the two women at a “shoppette” a convenience store in a small shopping center, Army civilian security guards ordered the suspect to put down his weapon. The suspect apparently refused and got into a car when the guards shot and killed him.

ARMY TIMES EL PASO, Texas — The Fort Bliss commander says two people are dead after a shooting at a small grocery store on the West Texas Army post.
Col. Joseph A. Simonelli Jr. declined to discuss details or identify the victims of the Monday afternoon incident.
Simonelli said the area was roped off for an FBI investigation, but the sprawling facility next to El Paso was never under lockdown.
(CNN) — The FBI is on its way to Fort Bliss in west Texas to investigate a shooting at a convenience store on the base that left a man dead and two women wounded, according to base spokesman Dieter Jester.
The man, who authorities say shot the females, was shot and killed by law enforcement officers on the base.
It’s unclear what may have been the motive for the shooting or even if the man or his victims are in the military, or are civilians.
