Traffic on New York City bridges was reportedly shut down as demonstrators marched in traffic lanes over the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Triboro bridges as peaceful protests occurred in 90 cities across the U.S.
Thousands of people rallied late on Monday in cities including Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., to passionately but peacefully protest a grand jury's decision not to indict a white police officer who killed a black 18-year-old in Ferguson, Missouri.
They led marches, waved signs and shouted chants of 'Hands Up! Don't Shoot,' the slogan that has become a rallying cry in protests over police killings across the country.

Not long after Monday night's verdict, President Barack Obama appealed for calm and understanding - pleading with both residents and police officers to show restraint.
'We are a nation built on the rule of law, so we need to accept that this decision was the grand jury's to make,' Obama said. He said it was understandable that some Americans would be 'deeply disappointed - even angered,' but echoed Brown's parents in calling for any protests to be peaceful.
In a late-night statement from the White House, Obama also urged Americans not to deny recent progress in race relations in the U.S., the protests in Ferguson notwithstanding. He called for the public to accept the grand jury's decision and to refocus on ways to make more progress in bringing police and their communities together.

Their signs referenced police shootings that had shaken the community there, including Saturday's fatal shooting of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, who had a fake gun at a Cleveland playground when officers confronted him.
Los Angeles Community activist Najee Ali said he met with police last week to discuss plans for a peaceful gathering in response to the Ferguson decision.
The plans include having community members identify any 'agitators' who may be inciting violence so officers can remove them from the crowd, he said.
'It was kind of unprecedented,' Ali said of the meeting. 'We never collaborate with the LAPD. They do what they do, and we do what we do.'
But since violence erupted at the city's rallies protesting the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Florida, Ali said there was an effort to avoid repeat problems.
'We told them our plans of protest and we were demanding our First Amendment rights be protected,' Ali said. 'They said they're taking a hands-off approach,' but they'd be in the wings if outside agitators try to stir up violence in the crowds.
Boston Police Commission William Evans released a statement, asking for students to protest peacefully after the announcement.
'We are asking students to be mindful that there may be outside agitators trying to provoke and instigate otherwise peaceful protests. I ask that if public demonstrations occur as a result of the decision they are done with respect to our neighbors and businesses, responsibly and peacefully,' he said.

I'm sick of ignorant people who make-believe there is racism, and cops are racist.
The cops aren't racist. They hate everyone equally. Understand that I don't think they are BAD people. Cops are cops because they want to keep the peace.
BUT after a while, working with nothing but criminals, you begin to see everyone as criminals and THAT IS WRONG.
Brown... robbed a store then tried to beat a cop and take his gun. If I'd have been in the same situation as the cop, I'd have shot him too. Black, White, green, I don't care. You try to take my gun off my hip, I'll have to stop you. It's you, or me. And I want me to be me. And you, if you're ignorant enough to try to take my gun, you're going to die.
Again, I couldn't give a shit what color you are.
This isn't and wasn't about COLOR. It's about rioting. It's about being as anti-anything as you can be, about being an anarchist. About listing to and believing the communist bullshit the instigators are telling you. It's about some made up bullshit hate for "the White Man" to give them a reason to riot and kill.
Well...here's a Reality Check for you motherfuckers rioting and burning your part of town. Keep going. You go ahead and burn that fucking place down where you live.
And when you come "marching" into my area; be prepared to die enmass. Because we won't let you burn our part of town.
Good luck with that rioting shit.

Looks like the idiots decided to start some shit locally, earlier tonight.
The morons went and tried to block I-75.
Cincy PD went and cleared the slags out with the quickness. They only blocked traffic for about 10 minutes.
Good thing for them I didn't have to drive through there...
Here is news on the incident in Cincinnati.
VIDEO: 12 Arrested After Massive Protest On NB I-75 Prompts Brief Closure
November 25, 2014
Hundreds of protestors marched onto northbound I-75 Tuesday evening, and after police made a dozen arrests, the march headed to the Federal Courthouse.
The crowd began scattering from the courthouse downtown just after 8:30 p.m.
When they first emerged onto NB I-75, police quickly responded to the area at about 7 p.m. working to control the protest. It started its march in front of the Federal Courthouse downtown, and moved through Over-The-Rhine along Vine Street. Protestors turned left on Liberty Street, headed east and decided to go to City Hall.
From there they arrived at the police department, stopped for a moment but continued east in their quest for the interstate.
The protest followed a gathering held downtown Tuesday evening, in which local activists rallied in response the grand jury's decision in Ferguson, Missouri .
Bishop Bobby Hilton of the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of National Action Netowrk (NAN) led the rally. He released the following statement after Tuesday night's protest:
"Although we join with millions across the United States who are frustrated and angered
by what seems to be a continued intellectual insult presented by Ferguson prosecutors
that Darren Wilson had no other choice but to get out of his patrol vehicle, chase, shoot
and kill 18-year-old Michael Brown to save his own life, NAN was NOT a part, nor had any
involvement in activity that resulted in the shutdown of Interstate I-75."
"NAN promotes action that is peaceful and civilized. We do not empower acts that could
lead to violence or the endangering of life or property."
Most people obeyed police orders, according to WCPO reporter Evan Millward.
CPD spokeswoman Tiffaney Hardy said police made 12 arrests.
Those people are scheduled to appear inside a Hamilton County courtroom Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.
Police heard about the protestor's plans among the crowd earlier Tuesday evening. They put police cars in place and had units ready to react.
Police estimate up to 300 people participated in the protest, which ran nearly three hours. Lt. James Whalen said officers walked about seven miles as they worked to maintain peace among the groups.
The interstate was shut down momentarily as protestors, and then police, made their way onto the road.
Idiots pulling the same type of shit in Cleveland.
And this apparently happened in Minneapolis. Someone was having none of the protestors in the street.
Too bad he slowed down.
Serious question, what was Officer Wilson thinking giving his first public words to Clinton toadie George Steponallofus? Is he trying to paint himself as evenhanded and non-biased? Because I can tell you that won't work.
Anyone on here that has known me for any significant length of time knows what an extremely pro-liberty person I am.
That said, there is absolutely zero excuse for the state and local governments for allowing this wanton violence and destruction to take place that has gone on in the Ferguson area.
There are very, very few times for an iron fisted crackdown by law enforcement/government but this is one of them and one consistent with The Founders' Constitutional intent of being able to quell unlawful insurrection/rebellion.
If the Missouri governor had a sack, before the verdict came out he would have been prepared to do the following:
1) Have a full call-up of all National Guard MP AND Infantry personnel.
2) Declare Martial Law in the metro St. Louis/Ferguson area and institute a curfew effective at sundown, arresting anyone who is violating the curfew. Allowing "large" congregations of people only during daylight and only in public spaces off thoroughways.
3) Had the NG and police setup appropriate detainment facilities outside of the standard jails for processing large numbers.
4) Had the NG troops stationed on every corner in heavily armed/armored vehicles in the most heavily affected areas, less concentration and police in the less affected areas.
5) Close non major roads in and out of Ferguson, and setup checkpoints on the major roads in and out to restrict access at all hours into the Ferguson area specifically only to residents or documented business owners.
6) Issue "Shoot On Sight" orders to NG and police against any looters, arsonists, or anyone destroying any property and arrest orders for anyone covering their face.
I could probably think of a few more things if I put my mind to it but that should cover most of it.
Since anyone with more than a room temperature IQ knew what was going to happen when Wilson wasn't charged, and by a number of accounts even if he was, the governor should have been working extensively with the local governments to have plans like above in place ready to enact the second the verdict came out and done so immediately when it did.
Well, I guess we all knew what was going to happen when Wilson wasn't charged apparently except for the idiot Captain Ron Johnson of the Missouri Highway Patrol (remember Black Highway Jesus posing with gang members?) I'm watching on FNC right at this moment saying, "We couldn't have imagined last night," "No one could have imagined this magnitude," and "If you look through the recent history of our country we have not seen anything like this." Guess we all missed L.A., Cincinnati, and the week of rioting allowed in Ferguson a couple months ago.
No one wants to sack up and do what is needed in times like this for fear of appearing racist or authoritarian or whatever but there is no denying that had those steps above been taken, those 25 businesses would still be standing and the residents of Ferguson wouldn't be living in fear of having their homes or business burned down or, them be shot or attacked by a mob. Those powers of Martial Law, etc. exist for a reason and it is to be used responsibly in times like these. Instead these lawless fucks are treated with kid gloves and therefore know they can get away with the things they have with little/no repercussions.
While I'm quite sure the police will figure out who was driving....this guy did exactly what he is supposed to do. Note, the driver is still alive and not in the hospital. Had he stopped completely, he would have been dragged from his vehicle and been beaten or killed.
There is a video from a guy on the ground and it shows people trying to break into the car.
Finally. GO SUBARU! ALL WHEEL DRIVE FOR THE WIN!!!
